The Educare Arizona, Southwest Human Development and Balsz School District families were saddened to learn about the passing of John Whiteman. John had an enormous impact on early childhood education in Arizona and on the well-being of children in our state as a whole.
John was an advocate for ensuring that young children have the opportunity to enjoy the best possible start to their lives and their academic careers. He generously supported many causes, but his support of early childhood education has truly impacted our communities. John believed that no matter your family’s economic circumstances, children deserve the best possible opportunities for academic success.
John was a champion for Educare Arizona, the groundbreaking early learning hub in Phoenix that serves an economically disadvantaged area of the city. His support as an anchor funder and collaborator contributed to the visionary leadership of Educare Arizona as a center of excellence for quality early childhood education, family support and health care with nationwide impact.
The generosity of John and his family will leave a legacy that will last for generations, and will have a positive impact on the lives of thousands of Arizona children and their families. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to the Whiteman family for their loss.
